Blending memory and cross-cultural storytelling

Back to town

Never crossed the sea

Sculpted shadows

Two young musicians cross paths with the founding members of The Play Boys (1965-1971). A vibrant exchange is born: the elders guide the novices, while the energy of youth rekindles in them the desire to return to the stage. And they did it!

62 years away, French writer Jean-Noël Pancrazi returns to the town of his childhood, wandering its streets not to mourn at the doorstep of his former home, but to reconnect with the thread of his literary journey at the very place where it began.

At almost 80 years old, Djaballah Bellakh, a discreet but essential visual artist, is back in the spotlight. The film follows his journey from his native village to Oran, on an exhibition of his late work. Will he say something about his art ?
